ABOUT

Gerrit Winter's new single “Battlefield” instantly conveys a sense of deep emotion and a desire for more and carries an important message with which Gerrit Winter has set out to motivate listeners.

“Leaving the voices of the past, certain beliefs, doubts, the struggles and dry spells behind you, pursuing your dreams and visions for yourself and your life, that's the only thing we should use our energy for.”

Gerrit himself has followed his inner voice and has been in the studio with Hamburg-based producer Jakob Kleij and “starmaker” and creative director Marvin A. Smith for months now. With this refined and experienced creative team, Gerrit is working meticulously on a very personal EP, which is due to be released in spring/summer 2025. After a long musical break, Gerrit Winter has returned with his latest song entitled ‘Battlefield’. The soulful 41-year-old North German singer also has his experience as an anthropologist in his back pocket.
As a trained theologian and musicologist, mental health expert and successful author of two books (“Be a voice, not just an echo”; “Das Abenteuer Hingabe”), he has spent the last few years working on musical projects and anchoring the importance of topics such as personal development, voice & communication and mental health in society

‘Battlefield’ - a powerful anthem about resilience, fighting spirit and perseverance.
The lyrics paint a universal and resonating image for anyone who has fought through adversity but refuses to give up. Despite having faced exhaustion and painful experiences, continuing to push forward and fight for a breakthrough.

The production of ‘Battlefield’ has a subtle approach. Synths and understated guitars blend into the filtered beats. All this gives the strong voice the stage it deserves. Powerful choirs and the stunning main vocals are the stars of the production. These are embedded in beautiful string arrangements, pulsating bass and a large-scale drum section leading to the climax of the song.
